SELSA Drama Conference 2014 (Members) £60.00

London Drama is organising a day of practical Drama just for teachers in South East London: SELSA Drama Conference 2014 - Redefining the Classic Cannon takes place on Saturday 28th June 2014, 9am-3.15pm at Erith School, Avenue Road, Erith, Kent DA8 3BN.

The Conference will provide you with an experience of:

  • Four practical workshops led by Drama practitioners;
  • Opportunities for networking and to catch up with colleagues;
  • A wide range of resources via London Drama Bookstall.

The workshops are designed to be inspirational experiences, appropriate and useful whether you are a Primary or Secondary teacher. You get to experience ALL the workshops which will include: Drama and Literacy through Shakespeare, Numeracy and Dance, Cross Curricula Drama and Cultural Drama.

Workshop leaders are:

  • Lisa Woodward, Head of Drama, Hurstmere School for Boys, Bexley.
  • Jemma Devine, Head of Drama, St. Columba's School, Bexley;
  • Natasha Passfield, Drama and English Teacher, The Globe School, Bexley;
  • Alexandra Edinboro, Drama and Dance Teacher, Erith School, Bexley;

It will be an exciting and very rich drama experience which should also provide you with loads of new ideas and new materials to try out with your classes.

STEP is a borough-wide partnership linking the theatre community and education and youth sector in the London Borough of Southwark. STEP aims to equalise, extend and deepen the theatre and drama experience of all young people living in Southwark through the development of strategic partnerships between schools, youth and community groups and theatres and performing arts organisations. STEP's objective is to work closely with Southwark schools, youth and community groups and theatres and performing arts organisations to develop creative approaches to learning and provide innovative projects which stimulate children and young people's personal development and contribute to their educational attainment.
