London Drama Students' Welcome 2012 (Members) £12.00 £8.00
led by PGCE Drama Tutors
Saturday 22 September 2012 9.30am to 3.30pm
Venue: Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way WC1H 0AL
Hello and Welcome to London and to London Drama!
Each year London Drama welcomes to London all the new students from the four PGCE Drama Courses at the London Colleges (plus Reading) and all GTP/SCITT/Other drama trainees and puts on a special event for them. This year our Welcome takes place on Saturday 22nd September 2012 from 9.30am to 3.30pm, at the Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way WC1H 0AL. It is called Starting Your Professional Development as a Drama Teacher and aims to do just that – provide you with useful experiences, resources, ideas and information to equip you on your journey as a successful drama teacher. It will be practical (of course) and will also provide you with an opportunity to share your ideas, establish networks and gain inspiration from other students.
The Course Leaders will be the following PGCE Drama Course leaders: Andy Kempe (Reading), Amanda Kipling (Goldsmiths) and Kenneth Taylor (Middlesex). Each workshop leader will provide a different relevant focus to extend and support your drama teaching and everyone who attends will work with every tutor – so you won’t miss out on anything. The London Drama Bookstall will attend the event as well so you will have an opportunity to take advantage of the 5% discount on books.
