David Farmer
David is a freelance arts and drama consultant offering training courses for teachers and practical resources for drama. He is the author of 101 Drama Games and Activities and editor of www.dramaresource.com. The website offers drama games, techniques and activities, articles and reviews. The free monthly newsletter brings subscribers up to date with developments on the site as well as other drama news.
David trained as a primary school teacher in English and Drama with a B.Ed (Hons) and was Artistic Director of Tiebreak Theatre from 1981 to 2005. His stage productions have been performed in the USA, Canada, continental Europe and throughout the United Kingdom - over 65 plays for half a million young people. He is currently a Creative Agent for Creative Partnerships, advising on cross-curricular approaches in Norfolk schools.
Other work includes storytelling in primary schools and recent posts include Arts Partnership Manager for Norfolk County Council, Advisor for Drama for Learning and Creativity (D4LC), Theatre Mentor for Shakespeare Youth Festival and lecturing at Anglia Ruskin University.

STEP is a borough-wide partnership linking the theatre community and education and youth sector in the London Borough of Southwark. STEP aims to equalise, extend and deepen the theatre and drama experience of all young people living in Southwark through the development of strategic partnerships between schools, youth and community groups and theatres and performing arts organisations. STEP's objective is to work closely with Southwark schools, youth and community groups and theatres and performing arts organisations to develop creative approaches to learning and provide innovative projects which stimulate children and young people's personal development and contribute to their educational attainment.
